COVID-19 SAFETY UPDATES
NEW CHECK-IN STEPS
1. Call (949)951-3044 when you arrive on the premises.
2. Wait in your vehicle or outside the building for your appointment.
3. You will be called up when your treatment room is ready.
Note: Only patients with an appointment or a guardian accompanying a minor will be permitted into the office.
HOW WE ARE KEEPING YOU SAFE
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. We will be complying with the latest social distancing protocols and sanitation guidelines to eliminate risks to patients and staff including: pre-screenings, temperature checks, contact tracing, physical barriers, and more. Please observe all signs and follow instructions from staff in order to keep you and our practice safe.
Before Your Appointment
· You will be asked to report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, shortness of breath, dry cough, headache, and lost sense of smell and taste.
· You will be asked if you have been in contact or is caring for someone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19
· If possible, please do not bring any family or friends with you. Seating will be limited.
· Bring a face mask. It will be required to enter the practice.
· Your dental health care team will also be screened upon arrival to the office.
· Your operatory will be cleaned and disinfected, and common surfaces in the practice including those in the restroom and receptions area are regularly disinfected.
During Your Appointment:
· Hand sanitizer will be available to you at the door and it will be required before entering.
· HEPA filters in all operatories with UVC light disinfection
· Wear your face mask prior to entering the office. It is mandatory.
· Upon your arrival, your temperature will be checked at the front desk.
· You may be asked to wait in your vehicle until your provider is available.
· All staff including non-clinical members will be wearing masks and possibly other personal protection equipment.
· Please respect social distancing and physical barriers during your visit.
· Physical contact with materials including pens and paperwork will be limited.
· Dispose of any waste including any empty water bottles, gloves, used tissues into receptacles
· You may experience additional equipment including intraoral and extraoral high volume evacuation during treatment.
· Your provider may change treatment procedures in an effort to reduce exposure. For example, your hygienist may use primarily a hand scaler and ultrasonic scaling in select areas.
After Your Appointment:
· Your operatory will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
· Any disposable equipment will be properly disposed and instruments will be disinfected in an autoclave (high temperature pressurized oven).
