Unless there is some immediate concern, urgency, or you strictly want a cosmetic consult, the first visit will
involve a comprehensive exam. Before you and our Doctors can determine what is
possible for long-term stability with regard to comfort, function, health and esthetics, your current
condition is assessed. Your comprehensive exam is a baseline for future comparisons and is the basis
for a lifetime master plan for oral health.
For every INITIAL EVALUATION, we:
- Review your medical and dental history
- Clarify your concerns and identify special needs
- Examine your Head, Neck and Mouth for cancer
- Examine and evaluate the health of your Gums
- Examine your teeth for decay, cracks, wear etc.
- Examine your X-rays for infection or other hidden problems
- Evaluate your jaw for TMJ disorder or jaw pain
After your examination, Our Team will:
- Review and explain our findings with you
- Discuss your treatment options
- Give you a customized written report
- Discuss all fees
- Answer all questions to your satisfaction and understanding
If your condition warrants further evaluation we may:
- Create diagnostic study casts (models of your mouth)
- Consult with specialists
- Design a physical model of your treatment with the diagnostic casts
- Develop an individualized long-term treatment program and sequence
- Review and discuss everything at a complimentary consultation appointment
